STRUCTURED WORKSHOP PROGRAMS THAT HELP CHILDREN AND AT-RISK YOUTHS GROW AND DISCOVER THEIR PURPOSE AND IDENTITY IN CHRIST.
First Outreach
The first Community Outreach The Chosen One (TCO) had was on May 2nd 2020, during Covid-19 pandemic. The funds to support this Outreach were donations from the founder and board members. This Outreach took place in the state of Indiana. The cities reached were Indianapolis, and Terra Haute. The event's purpose was to reach the underserved communities and encourage the front liners who were putting their lives on the line to ensure everyone was safe.
In Indianapolis, we had a food drive where we gave out packaged food items comprising of sandwich, water, juice, fruits, chips with a postcard of encouragement during the trying time. We donated food items to an organization called Wheeler Mission, a homeless shelter in Indianapolis that helps provide food, shelter and recovery programs for individuals. Then we followed up by going to Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital to hand out custom-made bracelets captioned “OUR HEROES” to the healthcare workers to encourage them of the great job and sacrifice they were making. We gave bracelets to them because we were not allowed to give out food supplies. After Indianapolis, we made a trip down to Terra Haute, Indiana. There we did a food drive for people on the streets, went to a fire station and gave out bracelets and food items as well, to encourage them in the sacrifices they were making to ensure the city was safe. In totality, that day being our first event, we reached 150 people which we believed was a win for staters.
Second Outreach
The second Outreach that was done on August 1st, 2020, in Nigeria. This event desperately needed to happen due to the country's situation and how we believed Nigeria needed the help of the United States to Provide a way of survival. We were able to step up and stand in the gap for the United States to help bring hope to people. Prior to this outreach, we had put out a flier requesting and calling for volunteers to help make this happen and we were able to deploy 12 volunteers for the event that day and for people to support the cause by making donations as well. We got donations from different people that summed up to 400,000 Naira (approximately $1,000).
Due to the donated funds, we provided raw food items like rice, vegetable oil, salt, and tomato paste. We chose raw food items for sustainability to be able to at least hold them up for a few days. All the food items were distributed to underserved communities, and we reached 500 plus families. While this was ongoing, the team had a few interactions with the community members and one of the women said, “If you had not come today, I would not have known what to feed my family.” After this was mentioned, this touched my hearts, and we said this is why we do what we do. We bring hope to people when they feel hopeless. This event pushed us to do more.

OUTREACH EVENTS
Third Outreach
The third Outreach was done In December 20th, 2020 in Nigeria. We applied a strategy like our August outreach and reached over 700 families.
Fourth Outreach
Our fourth outreach was on June 4th, 2021, in Indianapolis, Indiana. This outreach was a Clothing drive Outreach where we had people donate gently used clothes to the less privileged. The turnout for this was amazing, we had a drop off point which was the Redeemed Christian Church of God Covenant House Indianapolis. Every Sunday, we would have people go drop off, so we used the month of May to receive the items and we donated them to Goodwill and Wheeler Mission.
We also had another outreach in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 15th, 2021. This Outreach was a food drive event where I, the board member and some volunteers went downtown and started handing out packaged foods with a postcard of salvation slipped into each bag to people on the streets and having conversations with them. We took time to pray with some of them and encourage them. We were able to reach 200 people that day.
Fifth Outreach
Our last outreach in 2021, was on December 18th, 2021, in Indianapolis, Indiana. In the spirit of Christmas coming up, we wanted to do something different, we decided that the Outreach event was specifically going to be tailored to special needs children. We reached 140 children in total from 3 different organizations. We had a goodie custom-made TCO bag for each child and in the bags we had a hat, gloves, socks, juice boxes, jellos, crayons and an affirmation Merry Christmas postcard that said, “Hey light bearer, we just wanted to remind you that you are the child of God, you are loved by God, you are smart, you are strong, you are the light of the world, you shine everywhere you go. We love you from the TCO family.” We visited Mount Zion Academy, The Children’s Theraplay Foundation Inc, and Gigi’s playhouse of Down Syndrome. Lastly, we were privileged to sponsor a child to high school for a term in Abuja Nigeria.
